Can my retainer fix my overlapping tooth? (Photo)

It depends on what kind of retainer you have, and how much movement is needed.  If yours is a Hawley type, you MIGHT get it to insert and it MIGHT move back into place.  An essix retainer looks like a bleach tray, and won't fit if the tooth has moved significantly.I would say "give it a try" but you likely need to see your orthodontist.  It won't take as long to fix as the first time you did braces, but you may need a "second round".

Hi, thanks for sending your question. Retainers are designed to hold the teeth in position rather than being used for movement of the teeth. You can consider orthodontics to help re position that tooth again for you. All the best!
