How long after a tummy tuck can a chronic cough, wheezing, rattle in lungs a night last? My dr. thinks it's an allergy (Photo)

I have been tested for asthma, am taking antihistamines and inhaler almost daily. A lung xray showed nothing. I just can't clear my lungs and feel its something else. I still have swelling in the evenings from the surgery, and often feel hot and cold. Been to the dr. every month but am getting frustrated. How long does a cough and lung issues go on after such surgery. I had a TAH BSO 5 yrs ago and had no lung issues. Could it be pneumonia? I stopped HRT before my tummy tuck.
