I am 3 months and 2.5 weeks postpartum. I had my breast augmentation done on August 30th 2017. I've noticed that my breast are starting to drop and they look horrible compared too what I had the last two and a half years. I will attach photos of what my breast look like. What could cause this? Am I responsible for this? Is it my fault?
Answer: Why do my breasts look so saggy? Advice? Hello! Thank you for our question. Do not be hard on yourself as you are doing the most amazing thing and your body is going through so many hormonal and physical changes at a rapid pace. Be patient with yourself and your body, allow your body to heal from childbirth. Give your breasts at least 6 months post breast feeding before considering any sort of surgery as your breasts will be going through so many changes right now. You look amazing. Best of luck in your journey.

Answer: My recommendation Hello, thank you for your question and provided information as well.. You are just three months post-partum, your body went through a lot of hormonal changes and can affect any part of your body. So, I recommend you to wait 6 months post-partum and see what are your options; if you need a revision or a change of implants. Just be patient, it´s not your fault. Best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.

Answer: Breasts after childbirth Thank you for submitting your photos and your question. Your body has just gone through a lot of changes, physically, hormonally, and emotionally. Are you currently breastfeeding? The breasts are one of the most affected physical traits throughout pregnancy and during the post-partum period. It will take at least 6 months from the cessation of breast feeding for your breasts to recover. There is some natural atrophy of breast tissue during this time. Some patients may continue to have some laxity and may benefit from a lift later on to create the "perky" shape you had prior to pregnancy. I would recommend meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon to evaluate you in the next couple of months to determine which procedure will get you where you want to be.Congratulations on your baby!Dr. Christine Rodgers

Answer: Why do my breasts look so saggy? Advice? Your breasts are still going through many changes related to your pregnancy. They will not fully return to their final state until about 6 months postpartum or 6 months after cessation of breastfeeding, whichever is later. At that time you can visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you if you still have concerns. Sometimes after the effects of pregnancy and breastfeeding women choose to have a breast lift to help restore the shape of their breasts.

Answer: Your skin has been stretched from the milk of pregnancy You will know your final size and shape 6 months after you stop breast feeding or after childbirth with no breast feeding. Results of surgery could change in the future with significant weight change or pregnancy. The milk of pregnancy could change your surgical results. After pregnancy, your breasts could remain the same size, slightly bigger, slightly smaller and/or droopier. And, what can happen, can change from pregnancy to pregnancy. I recommend, if and when you are ready, an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author RealSelf Distinguished Hall of Fame Inductee
