I want breast implants but I'm only 19. I want silicone because I want to look/ feel natural. I know you have to be 22. If I get my mom to sign or approve can I het silicone?
Answer: Your options There are two great options to consider: 1. IDEAL implants - these are newly released "hybrid implants" double lumen saline implants made to feel like silicone2. I will place silicone implants in patients under 22 yrs old but first have an informed consent and have them sign a waiver that they are aware that they are being used in "off label' FDA use. #IDEALimplants#breastaugmentation#breastimplants

Answer: Breast implants for patients under the age of 22 The FDA has approved silicone gel implants for patients 22 years and older. You can still get gel implants at age 19, but they will be considered off-label. This means that the warranty of the implants will be void if you are not 22 years or older. You will have to find a surgeon that feels that the gel implants are appropriate for you and is willing to deal with the potential legal implications of using an off-label product.

Answer: Silicone breast implants for women under the age of 22 HI,While there is no good reason for the FDA to state that women under the age of 22 should not get silicone implants, it is still the rule. Parental permission does not change that rule.No doubt there are surgeons who would perform the operation, but make sure that you check with the company that makes the implants to make sure that it does not void the warranty. All my best,Daniel Medalie, MD

Answer: I'm 19, can I get silicone implants with my parents permission? In my opinion, there is no good reason why there is an FDA mandated age of 22 for patients to receive silicone breast implants. There are many patients under the age of 22 who would ( based on their body type and the advantages of silicone breast implants) benefit from the use of silicone gel breast implants. I therefore use silicone gel breast implants for patients under the age of 22 frequently. Parenteral consent is not necessary for any patient above the age of 18. Unfortunately, the use of these implants for these younger patients will negate the breast implant manufacturer warranty.I hope this, and the attached link, helps.

Answer: Do not get silicone gel breast implants at age 19 Thank you for your question. As others have stated having silicone gel breast implants before age 22 will void your warranty. You do not want to do this. If you must have breast implants now have saline breast implants placed beneath your chest muscle.
