If you get Juvederm injections, does any of it stay in your lips after the 12 month period?

Juvederm last anywhere from 6-12 months in the lips. When the product is layered over time it tends to last a little longer for some individuals.  Having needles injected into the skin will also trigger your body to produce collagen which will help with the longevity of the juvederm. 

Most of the Juvederm placed in your lips will be gone by 12 months but it's not unusual for people to feel that they've kept some of the volume for a longer period of time. This might be due to collagen creation or due to persistence of some of the filler. In either case, if you need additional volume at 12 months or later additional filler can be added to maintain the result. Good question. In my experience, Juvederm usually lasts longer in the lips and underneath the eyes when compared to other areas. This still will vary from person to person, but I have clients who have had it last as long as a year and a half to two years when used in the lips.

Juvederm typically lasts 6-9 months, though there is some variability between patients and based on where it is injected.  In the lips, the effect can be somewhat longer -- around 9 to 12 months -- though not for every patient. With repeated injections, there can be some lasting volumization even after the filler is resolved due to collagen production by your body. This is not predictable however.

Juvederm will slowly dissolve over 6 to 12 months in the lips.  Often Juvederm will stimulate some collagen production or may last longer for some individuals.  Over time, lips will return to their previous state.  You can have re-injections at any time you feel you need it.

Juvederm usually lasts 6-9 months in the lips, although it can last longer if it is injected in the wrong level of skin (causing a lump or unsightly blue color).  In my experience, however, patients need less filler in the lips over time. I think this is from collagen production, which is stimulated by the needle and by the filler itself. This can give results that are much longer lasting.
