Filler gone wrong! I have done fillers for the first time in life by a reputable medical spa. After the treatment the area under my eye got bruised and turned darker after a week. I still have this bruise after one and half years and wondering how can I get rid of it? The nurse who did my filler she used Restylane half syringe for both of my eyes.

The blue/gray Tyndall Effect can be seen when hyaluronic acid is injected too superficially, especially in very thin-skinned regions, such as the under eyes. And since the results of treating the under eyes tend to last quite a long time--often several years, in fact, the persistence of the coloration that resembles a bruise is hardly surprising. The infraorbital region is not a region that should be left to novice injectors. Going forward, you would be wise to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician and of course, first check out their personal befores and afters prior to agreeing to proceed. What you have is not a bruise but a combination of two things. First there's a small vein running across the area and second you have a Tyndall effect which is translumination of blue color in ambient light caused by Restylane. I would recommend dissolving the Restylane with hyaluronidase and replacing it with your own fat. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
