Hi, I am 26 year old with two children 5 and 9 year old. When I was 16 years old I gave birth to my first child and shortly after labour I had my first and only seizure. The hospital did CAT scan and they discovered I had a benign brain tumour the size of a lemon. It was completely removed 3 months later December 2012. I do follow ups every two year with my surgeon, my last follow up was November 2021 and I was cleared. My question is it is safe for me to have cosmetic surgery preferably a bbl.
Answer: BBL Candidate Having been granted medical clearance, you are eligible to have a Brazilian butt lift. If you are a good candidate (less than 5L of fat) for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as \o process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: BBL with history of brain tumor removal As long as you’re not having any medical conditions that need to be addressed you should be fine for having elective cosmetic surgery. Your plastic surgeon may or may not request clearance from your neurosurgeon or neurologist. My question would be if you still have seizures which would be something I would address before having surgery. If not it sounds like you’re probably OK to go but you simply need to list your medical condition on the intake during consultations and discuss this during the consult. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
