Botox for sweating - crook of arm?

Question

Is it possible to get Botox in the crook of your arm (the front of the bend of your elbow) for sweating? I want it because I use sunless tanning lotion in the summer and it sweats off right there really bad when I exercise. I generally don't work out in the summer because of this, but would like to be able to work out and not deal with the sunless tanning lotion sweating off there. I've googled quite a bit and have not found anything on receiving Botox there. TIA!

I have been injected Botox since 1991 and have extensive experience in injecting for all aesthetic purposes, masseter hypertrophy, as well for treating hyperhidrosis of the hands, axillae, and the forehead and upper lips region (with microtox Botox). . Atlhough, I have not treated anybody with microtox Botox for exclusively the antecubital region, I see no reason why this approach, so long as confined within the skin, would not work there, as well. Thank you for your question.  While this is not a common area for hyperhidrosis, it is possible to treat this area.  Botox has been FDA approved for Axillary hyperhidrosis since 2004.

In our office, we have had good experience with Botox injections for excessive sweating.  We have treated patients, staff, and family members.

Best to talk with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, and together you will come up with a plan.

Almost any area of the skin where sweat glands are located would respond to injection of neuromodulator which blocks receptors on the sweat glands and stops sweat secretion. In our experience  effect may last  up to one year after skillful injection. Hope this helps.

You surely can get Botox injected there as long as your provider understands your concern and you are willing to experiment.
