Can I do forehead/jaw Botox the same day as cheek (and possibly jawline) fillers?

Hello, I am considering Botox in my forehead and in my jaw for slimming. I am also considering filler in my cheeks and possibly my jawline. Should I do this all in the same day? If not, what should I do first and how long should I wait in between? New to this - Thank you!

It would be fine to have these treatments on the same day in the same treatment session. When we combine injectable treatments in this fashion, it is often referred to as a liquid facelift. I do recommend scheduling this procedure with a very experienced, qualified injector with the expertise to produce the best possible result for you.

Yes, botox and fillers can be done on the same day. Just be aware that the slimming effect of masseter botox won't be noticeable until about 6 weeks after treatment.

I personally have many patients who come to me from all over the U.S., Canada & Europe. So, for logistical convenience for such patients I routinely perform all procedures you cited in one treatment session. For others with similiar issues who live closer to my Manhattan practice and who can easily return for additional visits, I leave it up to them to decide whether they wish to have everything done at once or divided up. And, should you wish to divide your procedures up, it would be wise to allow for at least a couple of weeks between sessions to allow for any bruising or swelling from the previous session to resolve. Great question! It really is up to you and your doctor. Performing all at once would be more convenient for you and would be completely safe. It would be paramount that your injector can anticipate the aesthetic changes that will result from botox in the masseter when treating your cheeks and jawline with filler as that effect will take some time to develop. There should be no issue with having Botox to the forehead and masseter muscles and fillers to the cheeks and jawline at the same time.  The results should not be affected by having the treatments together.

Hello! You can absolutely do filler and Botox on the same day. These are two different types of treatments in different areas. They work in different ways.
Filler is placed into the fat pad to correct volume loss and provide volume/hydration/contouring. Botox is placed into certain muscles to prevent and soften fine lines and wrinkles. You can even have Botox and filler both in the jawline on the same day, again, because they are two different products working in two different ways.

This a good question! Yes, it will be safe for you to have your Botox injections for your forehead and jaw done on the same day along with your fillers. The consultant and injector should review with you about the different types of filler you are wanting to have done along with the Botox. It is common to have both types of treatments done in the same day and the consultant will give you the information of how each type of injection will affect the different parts of your face. Yes, for our patients we would typically find it acceptable to treat the forehead and jawline with Botox on the same day as cheek filler. However, in our practice we would not do jawline filler at the same time as adding Botox to the masseter muscles, which is where neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau) are injected to slim the jawline. This is because we would want to give the Botox a chance to fully kick in to assess how the shape of the face changed. It typically takes around 4-6 weeks before a result is seen for jawline Botox. We also recommend seeing a trained Registered Nurse in a board certified plastic surgery practice who can assess your individual anatomy before treatment.
