Thank you for your question. After you are fully recovered from eyelid surgery, you and your surgeon may find that laser or botox can improve your final result. Please work closely with and consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
This is actually a really good question. I have on a number of occassions put Botox in the forehead of patients who recently had an upper lid blepharoplasty. What tends to happen is the brows fall and the effect of the blepharoplasty is instantly lost. This has invariably led to frustrated patients and so my advice now is to leave it at least three months. This gives the upper lids a chance to go down from a swelling point of you. You can then enjoy both a smooth forehead and fresh Upperlands without compromise. Hope that helps. Regards, Adam Goodwin.
I would wait for the initial bruising and swelling from the surgery to resolve before proceeding with Botox or Dysport treatment. 2-4 weeks post surgery is probably reasonable.
I would recommend waiting 2 to 3 weeks after eyelidd surgery before getting Botox. It is important to let the swelling come down so that your injector knows where to place the Botox. I wish you the best, Dr. Ardeshirpour
Good question, and this is likely best answered by your surgeon, who is best informed regarding the details of your treatment and post-operative healing course. In general, most of the swelling after blepharoplasty/ upper eyelid surgery is resolved within 2 weeks, though a bit continues to resolve for months afterwards. I usually counsel my patients to wait for 3-4 weeks post-operatively after cosmetic blepharoplasty to resume cosmetic Botox treatments of the forehead and eyebrows. Best of luck!
