What is this bump on the side of my nose and how can I minimize its appearance? 7 months post op (photos)

I have this weird bump on the side of my nose for almost 7 months now. I had my rhinoplasty done on Jan 17 of this year. I just wanted dorsal aesthetic lines pretty much a contoured nose. After i had my stitches removed I noticed that only the right side of my nose where the side crevice is a weird red pimple. It’s very painful when I try to clean it and it still there to this day. What is it and what can I do to get rid of it ?

If a small piece of skin was buried while your incision was closed, a painful inclusion cyst can ensue. If this is the case, it should be an office procedure to improve it. I would recommend visiting your surgeon or another reputable rhinoplasty specialist for evaluation and management. I hope this helps!

It appears to be a possible delayed infection. It needs to be treated soon to prevent scarring. You should see your doctor to get the proper treatment.

Hi! Sorry to see this happening to you. It looks like this could possibly be a baby infection/inflammation (does it ever pop/drain pus?), possibly excessive granulation tissue (overabundant healing tissue), maybe even a retained suture. I would definitely check with your surgeon to see what their thoughts are and what they can do for you.
