What is recovery like with Morpheus8?

There are no restrictions on traveling post procedure. Keeping in mind though that immediately after treatment, most patients will experience a clinical endpoint of erythema (redness) for 1-3 days, however for more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Slight to moderate edema (swelling) and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation are also common post treatment and may last 1-3 days. Skin may crust and peel for 2-7 days depending on treatment settings; Reminder you'll want to keep your skin hydrated using aquaphor and hyaluronic acid serum as well as avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation (darker pigmentation) and use physical sun block SPF 30+ after 24-48 hours.

Hello and thank you for your question. The Morpheus8 has a fairly quick healing process. You will be a bit red/pink for the first 4-6 hours after treatment. You should do your best to stay out of the sun as much as possible, but if you must go into the sun, wear an SPF of 30+. After the first 48 hours, your skin may feel tight or dry. Moisturize as much as you need to at this point to keep your skin hydrated as it heals. Best of luck with your treatment! 

Recovery after Morpheus is not bad at all. So far, our patients have said that they have some redness or swelling for several hours after the procedure which is gone by the next day.  At Monroe Comprehensive Laser Center in Monroe, Mi, we recommend for patients to apply Aquaphor for moisturizing and skin protection for 48 to 72 hours after the procedure. we also tell patients to wash or rinse their face or treated body part with just water for 48 hours and to be careful when in the shower that they do not get shampoo or body wash rinsing over their treated body part so as to not inflame freshly treated skin further.  we also tell patients to use a sunscreen of at least a 30spf if they have to go out into the sun for the first two weeks after the procedure.  We have seen excellent results with this procedure.
