I want to minimize scarring and preserve my ability to grow facial hair, but it is more important to remove it. I was advised against radiowave because I have pigmented skin and it might cause hypo/hyper pigmentation. Would shaving work for this mole? What is the healing time for any method of removal? Are there other approaches that would achieve great cosmetic results? What scar can I expect?

Answer: See a Cosmetic Dermatologist for Mole Removal -- lasers, radiowave, shave, excision
Depending on the energy and fractionation pattern the risk of indentation is low. If the choice is between CO2 and Erbium, erbium is better for the above reasons. However, IPL( Intense pulsed light) therapy is also an excellent option for blemishes and small flat moles.
