How long after a thread lift can I get an IPL?

 The answer to your question has not yet been clinically studied. Because you had the InstaLift first, I think it is best to wait a while to allow swelling to resolve and the sutures to anchor in a bit. Your Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment affects the surface of your skin and won’t bother your thread lifts below the skin’s surface, but the heat from an IPL could potentially affect the process in some way. The fibroblasts in the skin begin to build collagen around the threads within 72 hours and this process continues for up to six months. However, you don’t have to wait that long. In my opinion it is best to wait one month after the sutures are placed for your IPL. On the other hand,  I often do a resurfacing treatment on the same day as inserting thread lifts before the threads are placed. This combination can create a really beautiful rejuvenation that looks natural and fresh. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to resurface your skin with IPL.

On average we recommend 4-6 weeks after threads. Prior to any laser treatment be sure to consult with a dermatologist and inform them of your recent Threads Procedure.
