I am day 1 after tumescent liposuction of abdomen and inner thighs. When I removed compression garment to shower I noticed significant indentation where gauze was placed. Is this normal and expected to resolve with decreased swelling? One area of inner thigh almost looked like fat had been scooped out where stack of gauze was placed. Also, my second garment was significant smaller than initial garment, it did zipper with effort, but can a garment be too tight and cause irregularities?

Hi, jatroAlthough your heart rate can increase with epinephrine, tumescent solution is different from the lidocaine with epinephrine. Tumescent solution is more diluted and it is injected into subcutaneous (fatty) tissue. Please make sure that your plastic surgeon is experienced and...
Hi, Dia92.The main reason to have tumescent liposuction is to remove excess external fat.Depending on your skin elasticity, the skin may tighten slightly but no significantly. If you are unhappy with your result and/or do not agree with his treatment plan, you should get a second opinion.
The fat removed will not come back. However, if you gain weight, the fat cells remaining can enlarge. It can take up to 6 months before all the swelling is gone. Remember, no skin was removed during liposuction. You are still very early in your healing phase, so please give yourself time to heal.
