Question

My stomach is flat when I stand up, but when I sit I get a weird fold as shown in the picture. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about this?

Thank you for your question. Some skin folding upon sitting is normal. The good news is that your skin will continue to tighten over time. Paying attention to your posture may also be helpful.

Hi there,At 10 weeks post surgery you skin is still contracting to the final end point.  Having said that, most people have skin folds when they sit down regardless if they have had surgery or not.  Close follow up with your surgeon is still recommended to follow your progress.

Some skin folds, bulging from tummy are normal when sitting whether someone has had surgery or not.Also, 10 weeks is very early after Smart Lipo and the fold should flatten after several months.Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended for instructions.

Thank you for your question and congratulations on your recent procedure. You're still going through the healing process and may have a bit a swelling but I would be more concerned by a fold if you were standing up. Generally most people have folds in the skin when the sit down or bend over so it's nothing I would be concerned about at this time. Good luck on your continued recovery and congratulations again!

It seems from your picture that there is still a significant amount of fat. Removing the fat more evenly and thoroughly should improve what concerns you.
