Congratulations on your recent procedure...The procedure of liposuction is an "insult" to the soft tissues, resulting in swelling which will initially totally obscure the operative result. 60-80% of the swelling should subside within the first 6 weeks, with the remainder slowly subsiding over 6-12 months. As you are only 2 1/2 months post surgery, there is still moderate swelling which may be responsible for the skin fold. If you measure the distance from the bottom of your rib cage to your pubis when standing and then when sitting, you will see a significant difference in length. The swollen tissue folds upon itself as it can no longer depend upon elasticity to shrink with body flexion. If you do not have excess skin, this should improve with more time.
