I'm on a low dose of immunosuppression medication. Can I have fillers?

I'm on an extremely low dose of immunosuppression medication (cyclosporine). Can I stil have fillers such as sculptra and radiesse?

First check with your doctor who prescribed the Cyclosporine.  If you get a OK from that doctor, just be sure your filler doctor does a meticulous skin preparation to minimize the risk of infection and you should be fine.

you can absolutely get Hyaluronic acid based filler injections. they are pretty safe. however, just to be on the safe side please run it by your doctor who started you on the Cyclosporine.

Thank you for your question.Yes, you could get facial fillers. However, the stimulation effect of collagen synthesis will be decreased for obvious reasons. Volumization by injection of collagen or HA in the syringe will not be effected. It will result in volumization.Best,Dr. Karamanoukian
