Do any doctors do BBL in hospital anymore?

 I do. While the vast majorities of my surgeries are performed in an ambulatory surgery center, there are occasions where I will operate on a patient in the hospital because of certain restrictions by Florida law; for example, if somebody has insulin-dependent diabetes--they need to be done in a hospital. Occasionally we do have patients who prefer to have surgery in a hospital and they can have it there as well. It is typically more cost-effective to do the surgery in a surgical center and that's why most surgeons operate in a surgical center. 

I have used the hospital for some patients. It depends upon their medical history. Many patients do not want to have it done in the hospital because it is more expensive there.

Hello and thanks for your question.I cannot speak for others, however, there are some doctors that can use the hospital for a BBL. I use Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California, which also has a VASER. I recommend VASER for BBL because it has the best outcome. The only caveat is that it is more expensive to do in a hospital, which is true for all doctors that do this procedure in the hospital.Please consult a certified VASER specialist for more information.
