Dear Drs. Had my 16 y/o saline under muscle 660cc implants removal yesterday - I just didn’t like the size for me anymore. He did not remove the capsule. Will the look improve over the next few months or will I need an expensive revision pocket etc to a smaller implant for aesthetics? Im somewhat traumatized by how they now look. thank you
Answer: Will my concave breasts after bilateral 660cc implants removal improve? (Photos) In general, the smaller the implant and the less the amount of time it has been since placement, the greater the chance the breasts will return to their preoperative state. Breast implants over time tend to thin tissues, cause a decrease in size, and create more droop. During this period of observation, consult with a board certified PS who can determine if a breast lift and/or breast implant or breast fat transfer would provide the result you are seeking. Answer: Removal You had very large implants removed which have stretched out your tissue over the years. Tightening can be done with minimal scarring with radiofrequency treatments like Thermitight. It is not a full lift, but does tighten and has minimal downtime. Otherwise, you could consider a lift, getting smaller implants with a lift, or even a fat transfer. Please discuss your options with your surgeon. For now, you need time to heal and wear good compression bras.

Answer: Breast implant removal You are early in your recovery and can expect some changes as you heal. However it is possible you will need surgical intervention to get the look you desire. At this point you want to continue to follow the advice of your plastic surgeon for optimal results.

Answer: Will my concave breasts after bilateral breast implant removal improve? Thank you for the question. Your concerns are certainly understandable; some general thoughts may be helpful to you. Generally speaking, what your breasts will look like after explantation depends on several factors such as: the quality of skin elasticity (the better the elasticity the better the skin will bounce back), the size of the implants used (the larger the implant the more trouble you may have with redundant skin), and the amount of breast tissue present at this time (which may have changed since the time of your breast augmentation). Life experience since your breast augmentation procedure, such as pregnancy or weight gain weight loss, will potentially influence the factors discussed above. If you take these factors into consideration and apply them to your specific circumstances you may get a good idea of what to expect after the implants are removed. Patience is definitely indicated after removal of breast implants; it will take many months/year for the skin to “bounce back” and for you to see the final appearance of the breasts. It is very likely, based on your photographs and my experience with many patients who have undergone breast implant removal surgery, that you will be much happier with the appearance of your breasts several months from now than you are now. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Implant removal Dear 2014Anna, you are still in early postoperative period and your results should improve with time. If you want to avoid implants, you can consider fat transfer to fill the gap. If you have any concerns, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
