I had rhinoplasty for my “up-turned” nose. It is now extremely boulbous. My surgeon, who is highly recommended, suggested alarplasty. Will this make my tip look smaller? I’m disgusting by how I look and I’m desperate to make this better.

Although I am aware of various forms of alarplasty and commonly do them, I have never performed what you describe and show. I think it is a bad idea and very risky to create a weird appearance. I advise against it

Hi, thank you for your question. I see that (from the limited images), alar resection alone would not help. Tip plasty should be performed. Although you have thick skin, you may think revision. To me, that's ideal. Regards. Best. Dr.Cem A.
