I'm currently sized at 36C but not sure if I've finished dropping (i have dropped some) or have i fluffed. How do you know if the dropping and fluffing has happened? Is 7 weeks post op too early to drop and fluff and will they get any bigger if I haven't dropped and fluffed?
Answer: Post op size Unfortunately, your breasts will not increase in size from this point on. The implants will continue to drop, however, especially with the assistance of implant massage. Always easy to put in a larger implant at a later date if desired.

Answer: Implant size regret You are not completely healed so give it more time. Regret at not being larger is common and it does take time to psychologically adapt as well. Discuss with your plastic surgeon and keep an open mind. Substitution of larger implants will always be an option.

Answer: Implants too small 7 weeks post-op. I'm sorry to say this is an all-too-common problem. Even at 7 weeks, you have not completely healed, but your implants are guaranteed to stay the same size, and you aren't "growing" more tissue. Swelling will continue to "go down" and scar tissue will soften, stretch, and mature over 6-12 months. But . . . your muscles and skin will also stretch, allowing your implants to drop further, and perhaps project a bit more. This is what many call "fluffing," though this is NOT a plastic surgical term, and describes what female "extras" do on the sets of porn movies to keep the male performers "ready." So let's call what happens after breast surgery softening, settling and dropping into place as the tissues heal, stretch, and relax as swelling decreases and scar tissue matures. Every woman does this at a different pace unique to her genetics, age, breast-feeding history, weight, etc. Thus, you won't actually get larger, but you may gradually develop a potentially "larger" appearance--it just won't be much in most cases. What this means is that if you feel you are too small now, you will likely still feel this way in 6-12 months. Sorry. Talk to your surgeon about his/her revision policy and what the costs are for larger implants. You should wait at least 6 months before considering this (12 months is better). Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

Answer: Implant position It can take 4 months and sometimes a bit longer for the implants to sit in the right position. Give it more time. This will also allow the swelling to subside to see if you are happy with the overall volume.
