Should my surgeon have removed cartilage during my otoplasty?

Worrier1
I had otoplasty last week and during my surgery the surgeon said he didn’t need to remove any cartilage, as my ear relaxed when he cut it. But During consultation he said that my ears were stiff and he would probably need to remove some cartilage! Do you think they are more likely to spring back?
