I have a hard lip line 8 days after Juvederm - Was I overfilled? (photos)

I had Juvederm XC injected 8 days ago. My upper lip has resolved all swelling and bruising but my bottom lip has a hard swollen lip line that turns white when I smile. It is uncomfortable to purse my lips and I am worried I was overfilled. Injector said to wait the full 2 weeks but I am nervous since my top lip seems fine.

If the filler is all truly dissolved your lip should return to a look similar to before treatment. It's hard to comment specifically with no before/after photos. I encourage you to visit with an expert injector for an evaluation.

Volift typically lasts 15 to 18 months, though that will vary by patient. If you are unhappy with the treatment results the quickest way to address your concerns is to have the product dissolved with hyaluronidase.

From the limited photos it does appear the filler may be placed superficially causing the contour concerns you mentioned. I encourage you to discuss your concerns and options with your experienced injector. If an HA filler was used the product can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
