Is gastric sleeve safe for BMI of 28?

I of course would pay for the procedure. I am 50 pounds overweight with metabolic syndrome and diabetes. My BMI is only low as I am tall with "all" my weight in my abdomen/upper arms. I am looking to cure my diabetes and lose 50 - 60 pounds. Any advice?

There are many surgeons who are willing to operate on patients who do not meet insurance guidelines.  My lower BMI limit is 30.  I would need to know your height to complete the complete the calculation.

It will cost you between 15 to 18 thousand in Los Angeles area... And yes, that is a great idea! You will get more restriction, less fat absorption and more weight loss... Actually I recommend the Gastric Bypass for al the failed Sleeve patients as I believe it has less complication rate...
