I had a sleeve gastrectomy 2 weeks ago and I just started feeling this sharp pain 4 days ago in my abdomen on the right lower quadrant. The pain is nowhere near my incision. It is just lateral to my bellybutton. It feels like I'm being stuck by a knife or pinched really really hard. The pain is the worst when I'm sitting, when I lean up when sitting, or when I bent over to pick something up off the ground. This is excruciating pain. Is this something to worry about?
I had VSG in 2011. I lost 160 lbs. I kept it off for 4 years. I got pregnant in 2015 and had a baby. I couldnt eat anything but carbs. Everything else made me vomit. I gained 70lbs! I am still about 45lbs up and havent been able to lose the weight. I feel zero restriction. Is it possible to have the sleeve retightened or what would be the next best option? Thanks.
Hello i have been feeling like i have been punched in my stomach. I had gastric sleeve 3 years ago and i have lost 70 pounds from it. When i eat (all the time)sometimes even when i drink something i start getting stomach pain i would only take 4 bites and it gets like that. It feels like someone is grabbing my stomach and twisting it and using it like a punching bag. My whole back will hurt and i get hot flashes ( im 31). Im still 282 lbs and still would love to lose more so i can be 220.
Hi there! I am 2 weeks post-op and I have been struggling with dehydration, extreme fatigue and the latest problems are headache and upper back & shoulder pain. Should I be worried?
I just had vsg and my surgeon said to be on clear liquids for two weeks then full liquids for two weeks. And so on. I feel this is so excessive . I see other surgeons who allow pured food 5 days post op. Why is there such a difference in the post op diet? Is there a medical reasoning for this? If I eat pured food sooner will I damage my stomach? Is this serious? Thank you. Just having a hard time
Im 34years old man, 140kg, 178cm. no health issues. I'm having VSG in a week. Never had any problem with any type of kidney or gallbladder stones before. Is it right that there is a big chance to develop stones after VSG? Is it right that taking Ursodiol for six months after surgery reduces the risk of developing gallstones during the post surgical period of rapid weight loss? Could someone pls help me with this issue, I'm really concern that I will develop stones. Thanks in advance!
My actual complete chemotherapy was 1/26/18 after that until 10/19/18 it was only Herceptin. No other cancer medications after that . Only medication I currently take is Levothyroxine for thyroid. TIA.
I'm 6 months post-op for gastric sleeve surgery, came out with bad stomach spasms and have had stomach pain ever since. My surgeon and nurses in the office tell me to give it more time. However, I've noticed the pain has changed to stabbing sensations even when not eating. I don't appear to have a fever but have cold chills at night, and I'm very tired all the time. Is this normal this far out after surgery? Others that I have spoken with that have had this surgery don't experience what I am.
