I am 23 years old and have struggled with weight for a long time. I do have a bad relationship with food and sweets especially. I want to also see a psychiatrist and a nutritionist to speak about these problems before and after getting this surgery if I am eligible. I have tried being dedicated to exercising and dieting but it is not possible with my schedule. I do not have children and I also am on the border of being pre-diabetic. Do not have a high blood pressure or high cholesterol. BMI- 35
I'm 55 years old I weigh 185 for the past 15 years and I'm at risk of getting diabetes. My doctor wants me to lose weight and I've been trying for the past 15 years ,
Had VSG in 2013. Starting weight 215. Lowest 175. Currently. No reflux prior to surgery. I now have GERD, bile reflux, 3 cm hiatal hernia, gastritis, and esophagitis, retained fundus, and dilation of body and pouch. Since I had no reflux prior to VSG, and given that recent endoscopy revealed known causes of reflux -- retained fundus, dialated pouch, and hiatal hernia --could a resleeve be the answer and jump start my weight loss again? Would rather not go the RNY route. My reflux is controlled on PPI.
I don't lose the weight no matter if I didn't eat a whole day.. I'm always at 178, 180. I've been this weight ever since my last 2 kids. I have body and muscle aches all day. My bones and ankles feel like they can't take weight. I fatigue in seconds of doing anything. And I sweat all day literally especially in the winter.. please tell me I can have this surgery. Because i won't lose the weight to my normal 130/145 size myself..
Hi, white female turning 49 this year. Im just under 5'5' and weigh around 188lbs. I have hypertension and take losartan 100mg and Hctz 50 mg to control my blood pressure and im worried about becoming diabetic as well. Ive also had acl surgery about 6 years ago and finding the weight is really affecting my ability to hike due to that knee and now the ankle being affected. Ive always fluctuated with weight my lowest weight in the last 5yeaar 160lbs. Is this surgery even appropriate
I am 54 at 180 lbs. I have 2 kids and unable to loose the 30 lbs. I have dieted and exercised without success. If I do the sleeve survey, how many lbs can I loose with proper diet and exercise? My husbands got the sleeve surgery with great success!
Background: My siblings and mother are obese. As I get older (i'm 25), the harder it is to keep up with my diet and exercise. I actually LOVE cardio! I've also been on prescription weight loss medication for 4 months and lost 10 pounds. STATS: 5'7 WEIGHT: 170 If it matters, I am looking at having it done in Tijuana, MX.
