Fraxel around eyes 3 weeks post procedure; my eyes are not healing correctly?

Thank you for your question.  Typically combination treatments are most effective, however in this case I am unsure what the outcome expected was as Halo and Fraxel are similar treatments with similar wavelengths Halo (1470/2940) and Fraxel Dual (1550/1927).  In this case I think it is prudent to follow up with your Board Certified Dermatologist who treated with you to prevent against post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation.  Steroids are a good start but should likely be paired with hydroquinone once inflammation has resolved.  If still red and inflamed consider a combo of steroid/silvadene/ and biafine if you can get it or luxamend.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias

You should return to your treating physician for examination to ensure that you have no problems with healing.  Fraxel generally heals within a week.  You should find out what settings you had done and if you are still having problems please consult an expert in Fraxel.  Best, Dr. Green

If there is prolonged redness after laser procedures, there is a risk of hyperpigmentation. The steroid cream is a good treatment but I would also add a hydroquinone. Redness can also be treated with a vascular laser such as the VBeam or Excel V laser. I haven't heard of treating the same area with both lasers. It doesn't make too much sense to me because the Halo is a combination laser with one of the wavelengths similar to the Fraxel.
