Thank you for your question. The Halo laser is quite unique, as it actually combines two different laser wavelengths at the same time - it's like having a light ablative laser treatment (that actually exfoliates and removes the most superficial layers of the skin) and a non-ablative laser (that heats up deeper the deeper layers of the skin to promote new collagen growth) at the same time. In my opinion, it offers the best balance between low downtime and visible results of any laser device available. Fraxel, on the other hand, only offers non-ablative treatment - in my experience, treatments are more painful and the results are less dramatic. Keep in mind that with either Halo or Fraxel, you may need multiple treatments for best results. Best of luck!
I would look into HALO (hybrid fractional laser). It will help with aging skin and will also reduce pores. It has long term benefits of stimulating collagen and making skin biologically reverse the aging process. It will help reduce pore size and is an amazing treatment with minimal downtime. Consult a plastic surgeon for a full skin assessment to see if it is right for you. Fraxel is more painful in my experience and patient satisfaction is higher with HALO.
Hello,Halo uses a newer technology to improve pores and textures. In our practice we have treated good number of darker skin type patients with similar conditions. Halo has less downtime, more tolerable and faster procedure compare to Fraxel. It also allows physicians to safely treat darker skin type patients. Also depends on the severity, Multiple treatment might be required for achieve optimal results. Best of luck
Thanks for the great question. Halo is a newer technology and I have seen a reduction in pore size in my practice. It takes up to 12 weeks after Halo before the changes are noticeable. This is because it takes time for the body to produce new collagen in the skin. Depending on the size of your pores, you may need more than one Halo treatment in order to achieve the results you want. Halo is also able to make great improvements in skin tone and texture. Even with a single treatment you will noticed these improvements after just a few weeks. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
Thanks for your question. Halo is a newer technology with research showing improvement in pore size - to the best of my knowledge this has not been proven with Fraxel.Even more interesting is the overall effect obtained with Halo - it offers the best results in reducing signs of skin aging such as sun damage, fine lines and crepiness for a moderate downtime procedure.
