I got 0.3 Restylane in upper lip &0.2 in lower lip yesterday.Got sick last night, this morning they are so pale,necrosis?(photo)

I got restylane lips yesterday,I swelled A LOT straight after,later I started throwing up,have had a headache since.The injector said I got stomach flu & it was not related.But my lips are so pale & have white spots.Theres no pain & swelling has gone down,but I'm nervous something is wrong.My lip line on upper lip has vanished & is uneven & turns white when I touch it.Can you please explain what would happen if I got necrosis & if I should be worried,how long before I am safe from complications?

I use a combination approach with cannula injections to limit complications.  Its best to do small amounts of injection over time to limit swelling.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi @glowgirl2016! I would not recommend more than 1 syringe per session. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Thank you for your question. Lips typically will swell for 3 - 5 days following injection, regardless of when your last treatment was. I instruct my patients to use ice, Arnica and an anti-histamine to minimize post-injection swelling. Please see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon...

Thank you for your question and photos.  When injections are performed correctly, the product should not migrate. Your injections may not have been placed properly. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon who commonly performs these injections.  Hope this helps.
