The presence of the widows peak reflect a recession of the hairline such that it leaves this genetic remnant.  Making it go away is just requires a hair transplant to surround and bury it, something that is frequently done when a hairline is lowered. This is shown in the picture of a woman below that had a widows peak where we lowered the hairline.
