Can finasteride cause your hair to become oily and covered with dandruff?

I began taking finasteride on October 17, 2017. Since I have been on the pill, my hair has been oily and I get a lot of dandruff in my hair (seborrheic dermatitis). I never suffered from any of these before I was on the pill. Could the drug be the problem?

You are experiencing recession of the hairline with further significant temple recession. However, from the pictures you sent I have not observed any noticeable thinning.You seem to be right in between a Norwood 2 and 3.

Can 2% ketoconazole shampoo damage the hair in long term use?

Ketoconazole is an anti fungal medication.  There is a "theoretical" anti-androgen property so many people use it for hair loss.  But clinically I have not ever seen it work.  In fact, it may irritate the skin.

Toppik  hair fibers are an excellent way to augment the appearance of thin hair. However, Toppik fibers will  coat the scalp.
