Thanks for your question. True gynecomastia, enlargement of the glandular breast tissue in men, might change in size over a period of months or years, particularly if aggravated by intake of anabolic steroids or other hormone modifiers. But the changes over the course of a day are due to the contraction/relaxation of the smooth muscle in the skin of the areola, a normal physiologic response to temperature changes. Your pictures do seem to show a small amount of excess breast gland that could be effectively treated with surgery. A proper examination by your PS will confirm. While surgery could improve your overall breast contour, fluctuations will likely still continue after surgery and should not be considered abnormal. Hope this helps.
Nipple fluctuation in size throughout the day is normal. If you are not taking or have taken steroids ( Dianabol, Anadrol or Sustanon), overused alcohol, heroin, marijuana, or finasteride, you may have a mild case of gynecomastia that can be corrected surgically. Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photographs. Assuming you have some mild gynecomastia present behind each nipple, surgery should improve, if not largely resolve the fluctuations you experience. That said remember it is normal to have alterations in the tissue throughout the day in response to temperature fluctuations or stimulation. Hope this helps.
it looks like you have some very mild gynecomastia changes (grade 1 out of 4 on the scale used to classify it) confined to the area under the nipple. That’s called “discoid” gynecomastia. It’s pretty easily removed with a small incision along the edge of the areola (the pigmented skin around your nipple). That should flatten that projection you don’t like in a sustained fashion
Thanks for writing,The first thing I would ask is, are you taking any supplements, hormones etc? Based on your photos, which a difficult thing to do because a physical examination os the best guide, you may have some true gynecomastia. If that is the case then it can be treated and usually this help a lot. I hope this helps.Stephen M. Even aggressive gynecomastia surgical excision, requires that some tissue be left beneath the nipple-areolar complex (NAC) - both to preserve blood supply and also to prevent a depression beneath the NAC. No responsible plastic surgeon, will promise you that your nipple size may fluctuate slightly throughout the day. However, you should realize that this fluctuation is very subtle in a man and you will be far more aware of this, than anyone else looking at you.david berman md
It appears you have mild gynecomastia. You should see someone who specializes in gynecomastia. There are no medications that can correct your problem.
Good evening and Thank you for your question, it appears that during a previous surgery a complete process was not followed and you probably suffered from a botched Gynecomastia surgery, According to your pictures It seems like you need a scar revision and fat grafting for better shape.I advise...
Hello and thank you for your question. I don't beleive insurance companies pay for correction of gynecomastia, it isn't medically necessary. You can call UHC and ask .
This is a difficult problem. Particularly with incisions around the areola. The incisions heal unpredictably and can often lead to a "jacked up" appearance. We avoid that incision entirely by placing a small 2 cm incision in the armpit. This incision heals more predictably and allows for ...
