I had CoolSculpting 5 years ago. Can it cause scar tissue?

Had it 5 yrs ago, looking at lipo now, and heard it's harder to do lipo to the area after coolsculpting because of scar tissue. Is this the case? Also separate question, I noticed the skin on the area I did coolsculpting (arms) has more laxity than it should for my age. Could these be related?

To answer your question,   one side effect of Cool Sculpting is developing hyperplasia. This is when the fat cells in the treatment area will suffer a gradual enlargement instead of breaking down.  It is uncertain as to why a person's body may react this way over another person. Generally, Cool sculpting in itself when working how it it should to diminish fat cells over time, it is possible a person may notice some laxity in their skin. Cool Sculpting does not treat loose skin. Before having your Cool Sculpt  procedure a trained professional should examine the area to make a decision as to whether or not a person may experience lax skin, this is based on a persons age, weight, and overall skin quality.
