Can you have sliding genioplasty and chin implant together?

Question

i want 10mm more projection and couple mm vertical lengthening of my chin and i know it can be achieved by sliding genioplasty. But im also not happy about the frontal shape of my chin and i want a round smooth chin implant to make my chin shape better. So is it possible to have a sliding genioplasty to give me vertical length and part of the 10mm projection and then lay another chin implant on the top to make it up to full 10mm？

Sliding genioplasty with bone grafting would most likely be the better answer.  Quality pictures would help this forum give better recommendations

Unlike my colleagues I would be reluctant to do both procedures .There are several reasons for this including a higher risk of injury to the mental branch of the Trigeminal Nerve, higher risk of infection, and technical difficulty of using an extened impants due to presence of hardware and secondary scar formation .

Yes, both procedures can be performed together. A chin implant can give 10 mm of added projection to the chin along with  few  millimeters of vertical height and lateral width. A genioplasty is performed as an inpatient procedure  and  expect an overnight stay at the hospital. A chin implant is performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure. Combining a sliding geniplasty with a chin implant can be done when the chin dimensions desired can not be achieved with either procedure alone. Adding an implant on top of the bone cal also help camouflage the stepoffs along the jawline which are very common in sliding genioplasties of any significant movement.
