Had a liposuction done and a breast lift and inverted nipples fix. Also had fat transfer to my buttocks did my hips. Well on my 3rd wk of surgery my left breast started to get infected idk if my stitches opened up or it was poor stitching. Then several days passed kaboom I heard and felt my stitches tore apart. Then bad thing is my surgeon is in Mexico, so there's no way in hell I can see him again due to work till I get my nxt vacation.

Yes, infection, smoking, and trauma can lead to wound separation 3 weeks after surgery. Please make an appointment with a local plastic surgeon or a wound care center. You will need to have your open wound cleaned and treated daily until it heals from the bottom up. Rest assured, it will take weeks to heal, but scar excision and possible tattooing can improve appearance tremendously.I hope this helps.

The problem with going out of country for surgery is now very obvious for you. What appears to be a cheaper price is not always the best price. You do need to find a plastic surgeon in your area to help guide you with wound care. Yes, an infection can tear tissue and sutures apart. A revision may be needed once healed.
