This appears more red than black/brown. It is possible you had trauma to this area and a small collection of blood filled up. If so, this should go away in a few weeks. However, It's best to have anything that's new or changing on your body evaluated in person by a dermatologist so they can examine it better.

I would continue to monitor this lesion for the time being. It almost looks like a small blood blister based on the photos and also due to the fact that it has that small tail or extension. I think self monitoring of the lesion is good to start with. Just make sure the lesion does not grow or change in its color or appearance. That being said if the lesion does concern you the smartest and safest thing to do is to go to a dermatologist for an official check and eval.

An in-person evaluation needs to be done, and an instrument called a dermatoscope can be used to evaluate that spot under high magnification.
