I have absolutely no pain tolerance at all so I know I'll have to stay on my pain meds religiously. But I have anxiety and I know for sure after surg I will have some anxiety from the foreign lady lumps in me. I have a very low dose prescribed to me at a 0.25 alprazolam. Is it safe to take with perc? If not, are there any other alternitives to keep me calm afterwards?
Answer: Can you take Xanax with Percocet? I'm worried about anxiety after surg Your plastic surgeon will be your resource when it comes to specific prescriptions. In my practice, I do use a benzodiazepine as well as a narcotic to help with pain management and muscle spasm patients may experience after breast augmentation surgery. Communicate your concerns directly with your plastic surgeon who will help you manage pain as well as anxiety. Best wishes.

Answer: Xanax with Percocet Thanks for your question! Your plastic surgeon should be made aware of any and all medications you are taking. Definitely run it by him/her and see if they are okay with the continued use of your Xanax. Good luck!

Answer: Can you take Xanax with Percocet? I'm worried about anxiety after surg It's a good question. I do find that about one in 20 breast augmentation patients does benefit from adding a benzodiazepine (Xanax or Valium) to the pain medicine that they are taking. Can help with anxiety and help improve muscle spasms. Overall, I find that about 50% of my patients will only take ibuprofen. Speak with your surgeon about their specific comfort with combining Xanax and Percocet after your surgery.

Answer: Take only the postoperative medications your surgeon prescribes. Xanax and Percocet can be taken together but the combination could also be dangerous. These medicines should be mixed only with the approval of your surgeon.
