Are the fat cells supposed to be eliminated evenly throughout the area that has been treated?

I have done coolsculpting on my lower stomach below the belly button (one center area) and now it’s been almost 6 weeks. I have noticed results after the 4th week, but it is located in a specific area in the middle of my stomach. We can clearly see a hollow, a hole. My question is, are the fat cells eliminated by area? Or is it supposed to be even throughout the area that has been treated? Will it even out after the three months? Thank you!

Fat cells in the treated area should be eliminated quite
evenly. The fat that is treated, where the Cool Sculpting applicator is applied
will result in a 25% reduction in fat cells. The final results are expected 3
months following treatment. During this time, you will continue to see results
as your body metabolises and excretes the dead fat cells.

follow up with your treatment provider to track your progress and discuss any
concerns you have

When you get marked before the procedure, the fat is pinched to see where the peak of the fat is seen. That is where the middle of the applicator is placed so that area gets the most treatment. Any fat that is collected into the applicator gets treated. You would have to wait the whole 3-4 months to see how your body responds to the treatment to see if it evens out in the treated area.

Hello! Great question. The CoolSculpting handpieces pull an area of fat into it. All of the parts inside the handpiece get cold. However, the very middle of the skin that went into the handpiece gets the very coldest, so you will lose the most amount of fat from that area. The areas surrounding that still get cold and will lose fat cells, but not as cold as the center part. There is also a "feathering" that occurs around the edges of the skin that go into the handpiece - so that it blends in well with surrounding skin. If you are seeing a hollow/hole, it wouldn't hurt following up with your provider. There very well could be some evening out by 3 months, but I still think it warrants a visit or a call. In response to this real self question on cool sculpting and indentations or irregularities of contour. In this case around the umbilicus or belly button. Does this occur? The answer is occasionally it can.Cool sculpting sometimes exhibits what's called a shark bite. Where there's a chunk of fat that has been effectively sheered by the hypothermia, the sustained cooling exposure. The fat cells die, but it leaves an excavation, an indentation. A depression and this is called a shark bite. 
	Now, early in the evolution of the healing, it takes up to six weeks and longer to get the final result, but if you are unfortunate enough to get a bit of a shark bite, or indentation there are some other non-invasive technologies that can be used to treat and blend in the indentation. Products like sculpture and hypothermia or Ultrashape or Body FX. These can be used to blend in the margins of that indentation. You can also sometimes take a smaller sculpture. Cool sculpting applicators like the Cool Core and if you had a Cool Max in the lower part, you can blend in these indentations.Finally, if you had happened to see a plastic surgeon, a little lipo-contouring can smoothen out. Under local anesthesia, can smooth out a cool sculpting irregularity. So I would seek out the advice of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has all those modalities at their disposal, because other technologies like hypothermia and sculpture or ultrasound and Ultrashape or Body FX or electroporation maybe needed to blend in your cool sculpting result. 
	We want cool sculpting to kill fat. We just want it to be smooth. So by seeking the advice of a Board Certified Surgeon, they can offer you all the opportunities we just mentioned to ensure that your cool sculpting irregularity which is emerging can be softened, smoothened and hopefully eliminated.
