I know a tummy tuck would be an option but I am waiting for my straie to heal more before I consider a tummy tuck.. but I would like to do liposuction now and I’m wondering if lipo will make my straie worse or shrink my straie a little bit since the day there will be removed

Answer: Liposuction and stretch marks Liposuction will not have any significant impact on stretch marks for the better or the worse. Giving them more time it’s only going to change the hyper pigmentation component. If you’re interested in having a full tummy tuck then there is no need to wait because of hyper pigmentation in your stretch marks. The majority of your stretch marks will be removed with a well-done tummy tuck and those that remain will be right above the incision line and will continue to hypo pigment on their own. The scar from the tummy tuck will also require 12 to 18 months before it has gone through its fall maturation process in regards to hyperpigmentation and color changes. To get a quality assessment and better understanding of various treatment options I recommend you have multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons.
