Hi all I have received my first PRP session for hair loss back in January and my second 6 weeks later, so now I'm about 10-11 weeks into it. However, I still notice a lot of hair on my hands when I wash my hair and/or on the pillow when I get up. Is this still normal and when will this stop? Thanks!
Answer: 11 weeks into PRP. I still notice a lot of hair fall. Is this normal and when will this stop? When will PRP effects kick in? 7io72Yn29How is the present level of shedding compared to your baseline before the treatment. Are you using any other treatments? PRP can be repeated for further benefit, or you can add either Rogaine or laser therapy with Lasercap for further synergistic benefit.

Answer: Still shedding after PRP treatment? Englewood Cliffs New Jersey Shedding is the best indicator of PRP effectiveness. If your shedding has decreased but is still present, the PRP is working and you need to give it more time. If there is no change in the amount of shedding, you need to work with your hair loss expert and reevaluate the etiology of the hair loss. Often, additional treatments can be added to improve results. Find a PRP expert.Jeff Rapaport MD FAADRealself All-star

Answer: PRP hair treatment Hello, thank you for your question. We usually recommend patients have a series of four monthly treatments to see maximum results with PRP treatments. Typically, patients will start seeing some improvement after the third treatment. After the initial series of treatments, we recommend patients to do maintenance treatments quarterly. Please seek a Board-Certified Dermatologist for a follow up appointment and evaluate if further treatments are needed.

Answer: PRP You seem to be assuming here that PrP helps everyone. It does not. You may want to check in with your physician to confirm whether you are a PRP responder or not.

Answer: Hair Loss Post PRP Everyone responds differently to PRP therapy. With few exceptions, I have my patients perform labs so that I can rule out additional factors that may impact their treatment. 80% of the time I find something minor to something significant that negatively impacts hair retention and regeneration. Therefore, you would likely benefit from a metabolic and hormonal workup. This will provide a greater picture of what is going on. Hope I have helped. Warmly, Arbella Sarkis, MD
