Hi Is there any laser that can help with aging hands? I don't want fillers have to continue doing them.

Hello !

Roll-CIT® is a widely-used device that incorporates a roller with tiny needles to promote the production of collagen and elastin. Meanwhile, Lumenis® is a popular treatment method that utilizes intense pulsed light therapy (IPL) to eliminate visible veins and skin damage. Unlike older methods like peels or deep dermabrasion, Lumenis® is not usually painful. Laser Resurfacing (C02) is a technique that removes layers of damaged and wrinkled skin, functioning as a surface-level peel. While it is a highly precise and effective treatment for suitable candidates, it is also quite aggressive.

Of course, an « in person » would be necessary.

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

One more thing to note is that fillers and lasers work differently. Fillers are used for filling hollows caused by aging and atrophy, while lasers primarily target pigmentation and improve skin texture on the surface. To achieve optimal results, it is often necessary to combine both treatments. It's important to remember that neither option provides permanent results since aging is an ongoing process that continues to progress. Periodic repetition of these modalities will be necessary. However, fillers in the hands can last significantly, and touch-ups can be done once every 1-2 years. Feel free to contact us for a quote.
