Smoking and drinking alcohol after laser treatment for spider veins?

I've had IPL, NDYag, Diode laser & BBL for spider veins. No Drs told me avoid alcohol or smoking after BBL. Some told me avoid smoking drinking alcohol 24 hours after laser but not others. Alcohol & smoking affect healing so more swelling etc,but 2 Drs told me smoking & drinking after NDYag & Diode laser will render some/all of treatment useless as the veins need to close but smoking/drinking prevents this. If true why don't all Drs state this, what are the facts please
