Thank you for your question, Post operative lymphatic massages are very important for a patients recovery, We advise for you to start your therapy appointments around 3 days after the surgery this will help you feel lees pain during your recovery and have the fluid drained from your body to minimize swelling and unevenness as well to avoid hard lumps due to scar tissue after the surgery.
I am not sure that you absolutely need massages. This may help with the scar maturation process and some elements of tethering. You should ask your surgeon about this as everyone will have a different opinion. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Each doctor has their own protocol It is very important that you talk to him and follow his instructions.I suggest my patients to get at least 10 sessions of lymphatic massages, 24 hours after surgery and to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months, to get the best results. It is important for the compression garment to be very tight, for it to help with the swelling, after surgery. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
In my practice where buttock augmentation is the most popular procedure, we generally, start postop massage and ultrasound sessions to the donor site liposuction areas 1 week after surgery and continue on a weekly basis. We feel that this facilitates healing of the donor sites. Good luck!
Thank you for your pictures. You should follow your PS's advice on this matter. I do not recommend that for my patients. Dr. ES
I typically transfer at least 1000 cc if not 1200 cc to 1500 cc per buttock. I perform about 500 Brazilian buttlifts each year, and this procedure is the most surgeon dependent plastic surgery procedure. You do not want to have to do...
About 60% of fat from the transfer is retained and the results are permanent. The size will change with your weight just as the rest of your body does. In other words, the fat acts like it was naturally there. You can get a good idea of the final result after 6 months.
Sitting on the buttocks for prolonged periods of time may predispose to fat necrosis or resorption and diminish results. This applies to humans everywhere. 5 liters is the safe upper limit...
I would wait for 3 months or so, because the size of the buttocks will decrease. 900 cc is not a huge amount of transfer either. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
