I’m not sold that you’re a great candidate for a BBL. To get a quality assessment and better understanding of what the BBL procedure can, and cannot accomplish. I suggest having multiple in person consultations with highly experienced providers in your community. Recognize that substantial number of providers are trying to sell you surgery. Your bottom does not seem to be lacking in volume and seems quite proportionate if anything. Grafting fat first and foremost primarily adds volume. The ability to shape using fat grafting is probably a little bit overrated. If anything is the Liposuction aspect of a BBL that creates Impressive contours. There are definitely those who are lacking in volume and adding grafted fat can be a huge benefit. Skin laxity, and cellulite tent to lower someone’s candidacy for the procedure. This is also true for those who have internal scar tissue, which will not be improved by grafting fat. Some of these problems can be accentuated by adding more volume. I would be very selective in regards to choosing providers and recommend relying exclusively on in person consultations. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their entire portfolio of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Recognized that fat transfers results look dramatically different Early after the procedure in comparison to long-term final outcomes. In order for after pictures to be representative. They should be taken a minimum of 3 to 6 months after the procedure. Never assume that after pictures represent final long-term outcomes. Always confirm at what time frame after pictures were taken During consultations. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The number of plastic surgeons have truly mastered liposuction and fat. Transfer is quite small. How much variation there is with this procedure I recommend patience consider having five or six or even more consultations before considering selecting a provider. To make an assessment for the BBL procedure we need to see full body pictures. Take a look at how plastic surgeons take before and after pictures to get an idea. We never judge the buttocks without context to seeing the lower extremities and full torso. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
