if you have a pannus that hang and you want to get rid of it, the only procedure that will help is a tummy tuck. I would recommend you see a board-certified plastic surgeon by the American Board of plastic surgery.Best Regards Dr Gartner
I have BTL Exilis in my clinic and I've seen impressive tightening of abdominal skin on patients with a moderate amount of laxity. However, for the situation that you describe, it's unlikely that Exilis Ultra would tighten the skin to your satisfaction. At some point, surgery( tummy tuck/panniculectomy) may be a better option for treatment, especially when the cost of the series of non-surgical treatments would approach a surgical solution, or when the surgical solution would result in a faster, better result. Best Wishes!!
The Exilis Ultra combines ultrasound and radio frequency to help tighten the skin and rebuild the collagen. You may require 4-6 treatments depending on how much lose skin is there, but since its noninvasive, there's no downtime and you can feel the results!
I am a plastic surgeon who performs both Exilis and surgical excision of extra skin. Exilis will tighten the skin somewhat. Although the newest version of Exilis (Exilis Ultra) helps even more than the previous versions it still has limitations. For those with gross excess skin after massive weight loss a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is the best way to treat this. For those with questions it is best to go to a practitioner who has both of these modalities available and therefore can pick the best treatment for you. Good luck.
Congratulations on your weigh loss. You should feel proud. It is possible that the only way to tighten your skin is for you to have a tummy tuck. I recommend that you have a consultation with a practitioner who performs Exilis and a plastic surgeon so that you know all of your options.
We would all love immediate results but you will have to wait about 3 months. We always recommend taking monthly selfies in the same clothes, seeing is believing. Patients typically also notice better and/or looser fitting clothes at about the 3 month mark.
The initial Exilis was delivering suboptimal power through its facial applicator - 50W. I had an opportunity to evaluate the next prototype delivering 70W and eventually 90W. This power allows to treat much larger area with effective heating. The new device,...
We have used Ulthera in the past but our results with Exilis have been superior both in patient comfort as well as skin and tissue tightening. We did upgrade our Exilis Elite to the Exilis Ultra which combines radio frequency and ultrasound resulting in better energy dispersion and...
