Why is Kybella done before Exilis? The Derm Office wouldn't do Exilis on my neck/jawline unless I had Kybella. It became costly.

Thank you for your question in regards to exilis. It is difficult without seeing photos as to their suggestion to using kybella prior to exilis. Exilis will help tighten loose skin on the neck, while Kybella is used for sub-mental fat. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Without photos it is impossible toes if you are having improvement or what area they are treating.  I often combine Kybella with Thermage in my practice to tighten up the neck area and decrease the fat in the submental area.  Kybella also does some skin tightening as well under the chin.  Perhaps you are not a candidate for the procedure.  You should consult a board certified dermatologist who is an expert in neck rejuvenation.  Best, Dr. Green
