Is there any cases of face "melting" with Exilis Elite (tightening)?

Question

Ulthera has many negative reviews (with pictures) in which you could see the sagginess got worse and the skin thinned out. I haven't read as many negative reviews with Exilis Elite, and the few I read only reported no change. I would be willing to try exilis even if the outcome is very subtle but I wouldn't even try it if there is a very small chance of getting a "melted face". Im 42 years old, and I would like some tightening in my neck and jowl area, but not willing to loose any fat. Thanks

Thank you for your question in regards Exilis treatment. Exilis uses radio frequency which heats up the tissue causing our bodies to rebuild collagen and tighten the skin. When treating the face, the facial hand piece of the Exilis machine should be used which does not produce fat melting. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

We have used Ulthera in the past but our results with Exilis have been superior both in patient comfort as well as skin and tissue tightening.  We did upgrade our Exilis Elite to the Exilis Ultra which combines radio frequency and ultrasound resulting in better energy dispersion and improved patient tolerance as well as results. Some fat reduction can also be achieved bye adjusting the technique and energy settings.  Be sure to seek out an experienced and credentialed provider because the results and safety are mostly dependent on the operator and not the technology.

Hi, Exilis elite utilizes radiofrequency to heat the skin stimulating elastin and collagen production. The facial handpiece does not affect fat. However, the body handpiece is designed to melt body fat and tightens the skin. The most popular area of treatment is the lower face, including the jawline and the area under the chin.
