I am considering acne treatment for my acne scars, in the past laser treatments did not work well so now after a consultation with plastic surgeon she recommended PRP, subcision and fat transfer followed with Erbium laser after 3 months. This procedure is pretty expensive so I would like to know does it really works and are the results really visible and long lasting (longer that fillers)?

Answer: Acne scars on cheeks? Englewood Cliffs New Jersey In my opinion, you have predominantly saucer shaped and box car shaped scars. Subcision should be helpful. This can be performed with PRP, fillers or microfat injection. We prefer PRP because of the permanent nature of the results. Follow up treatment of the area with a low density ablative laser is suggested. Find an acne scar expert.Jeff Rapaport MD FAADRealself Verified All-star

Answer: Acne Scars From the look of your photos you would benefit from a combination of eMatrix, subcision, and fillers placed at the same time as the subcision. Restylane lasts about six months and gradually increases the collagen production of new collagen and through the subcision and fillers you will have new collagen and improved results. Please consult an expert in acne scar surgery for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
