Over rotated tip. How much will my nose relax? (photo)

Question

I had my cast removed this week and am 10 days post op. I previously had a downward droopy nose which I wanted to correct but didn't want the appearance of an upward turning nose. I know I need to wait it out as my nose has been anchored and it's only 10 days since my operation but I'm wondering from experience if my nose is going to relax down much further? I feel like it's pulling my lip up and doesn't look natural.

This is absolutely normal to have an over-rotated tip at the outset of recovery. I have been performing rhinoplasties for 15 years, and have seen almost all of them "drop" with relaxation and resolution of swelling. I would not be worried about this at this point in the slightest.

The tip of the nose will drop over the next several months. The will happen as the swelling resolves. The majority of the change will likely happen over the next few weeks, but the tip will come down even more as time goes on.  You should not worry too much at this point. Best regards.

It's too early to make value judgments with only ten days after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
