Does Hyaluronidase over several injections dissolve natural tissue?

I had multiple rounds of hylaronidase to dissolve voluma in cheeks. My whole face is now sagging and depleted. Why do some doctors on here say it does not dissolve natural tissue and others say it does. I would like to know if my body will eventually restore this? And if so, how long will it take? I am 49yrs old. Will that make a difference?

Yes, your body will restore itself. It takes 1-2 weeks after hyaluronidase, but your face will return to normal. If you remain concerned, I would touch base with your injector. Hope this helps.

It will not negatively impact your natural tissue permanently. Keep in mind, it can take a few weeks for the skin to settle after injections. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi tinastonisch,It would have been great if you had sent before and afters. Hyaluronidase effects clear in about 3 days and your skin/face will recover in a couple of weeks. With that being said, there are some ways collagen growth can be "encouraged". Ask your Injector about Sculptra, a filler that induces collagen growth over time.All the best, Justin Harper,M.D.

Great question! No to worry, with time (a couple of weeks) your natural tissue will repair itself, and you should return to normal. All injections usually take a full two weeks before the final result is revealed.  If you continue to have concerns, contact the clinic, Doctor, or injector who performed your treatment.
